The vast majority monitor much much more than a single email a week.

I think you're getting lost in the conversation.

Well there's your problem. This isn't that, Barry, and you know it.

I was responding directly to the poster that claimed that it never happened in the private sector. Keep up.

I am not CC’ing someone not in my chain of command, have an NDA, or a need to know.

My supervisor has my receipts, if he/she wants to forward to OPM to keep my employed then they will.

Like I said earlier in the thread. Not all of us are shite Gov workers.

Was just thinking the same of you. It’s pretty straightforward. Add an email address to the report that is already being filed. I cannot fathom whining about that.

What if I told you that is already done via the normal chain of command?

Then whats the big deal? Just use the new email vs creating one from scratch.

Its not as big a deal as some sky screamers are making it out to be.

You think the CEO would email the EVP who would then email the SVP who would then email the VP working directly on the project? Then the VP emails up to the SVP and they forward to the EVP who forward to the C-suite?

Of course he has no logical reply.

What is the very top of your chain of command?

Not once have I said all government workers are bad. I just honestly cannot fathom being upset over Caving someone on an email if they have the authority to ask you to do that.

I get CEO emails regularly, often with specific instructions on things to do.

The last large corp I worked for was a fortune 100 company. And C-suite execs would contact people two or three rungs below them for updates on issues they worked directly on all of the time.

Talk about a waste of resources. No the C-suite contacts the VP.

You didn't answer my question. If this is always the case then why have middle management?

If they couldn’t send a single email, how productive were they?

The 10-20 coworker could have sent an email too. it wouldn’t have mattered for them.

This is literally just fricking with people they’re going to fire one way or another

FBI Director Kash Patel tonight has instructed his employees to ignore @elonmusk’s productivity inquiry, saying, essentially—we will evaluate our own people, thanks.

And the power struggle begins.

Nothing is ALWAYS the case. But it happens very often all over the private sector.

FFS, Barry. Here:

draft a 5 bullet point email once a week
I'd have correctly called out anyone who worked for me for trying to implement something that stupid.
