What kind of jacked up system allows for more than one ballot for a person, to be generated in the first place?

Roberts is *not* a federalist.
And in each case, Roberts enforced the state's emergency power, as written. Where the local official overstepped, he voted to slap them down. Where the local official stayed within the bounds of the legislative grant of emergency power, Roberts ruled in his favor.
I have NOT read the latest from Pennsylvania, but the summary I saw DOES cause me to question whether the same hold true with THAT ruling. I just have not had the time to find the opinion and read it.
It was entertaining watching all the posts going back and forth between "Roberts is a cuck" and "does Roberts get his coat back," when every one of those rulings was entirely internally-consistent on the basis that I just outlined.

I’m thinking I’ll either need to increase my medication OR add a second one. Not even joking.

Ok y’all don’t shoot me:
I get statesnrifhts but why aren’t state voting the same way in federal elections? Why can some states just mail ballots and other have to request? Why can’t there be computer systems to throw out duplicate votes??

The simple fact is that States retain the right to make the VAST majority of decisions regarding voting procedures, within the bounds of the Constitution. That certainly includes the procedures for early voting and absentee (or "mail-in") ballots.
Unfortunately, it probably also includes the systems put into place to do things like checking for duplicate ballots.
The Constitution just does not dictate uniformity in voting procedures, and it does not give the federal government as much power as some people want it to have.

FWIW, one of the very few things the state government does well in my adopted state of Virginia is have state elections in odd years when there are no federal elections. All states should do this because it makes it easier to have one uniform law for federal elections. Just my take on this subject.

That makes too much sense and might lower risk of voting fraud which the Dems have been doing for decades on a local and state basis

We are a voter ID state. I voted absentee yesterday. I had to present my ID, she looked me up in the computer and told me exactly how to sign my name (I go by my middle name but officially, I'm in the computer as my first name. We had to sign an affidavit as to why we were voting absentee, she gave us the ballot, we voted, she told us exactly how to fold the ballot in place it in the envelope. No lick, obviously. She had a sealer but thing that impressed me is you had to sign your name on the envelope but you had to continue your signature over the clasp of the envelope so they could tell whether or not it had been tampered with. Place it in a lock box.
Caveat that I can't guarantee is that the lock box shows up at the counting stations when it should. So, I am going to go vote again on the 4th with the dead democrats to offset those that have gone on before us.

You’d be surprised at how many aren’t patient with questions.
And thanks.

I guess the good news is they are catching them rather than counting.

That seems to make good sense — not combining the elections.
