I like Cruz and even listen to his podcast. My jaw dropped when he mentioned his #1 goal when getting into the Senate was to support Israel. What?! Can you imagine if another Senator said their #1 goal was supporting Oman or Yemen? I don’t GAF about what religion or majority ethnic group the country is comprised of - it’s wrong.
Then Ted cites the Bible as his reasoning? I go to his same church. We all have our moral convictions but basing foreign policy on an interpretation (a wrong one) of religious text is batshit.
