re: The Right Has Its Own Version of Political Correctness. It’s Just as Stifling.

But of course these 3 instances won't be good enough for you and you'll continue with the invective.
Just like I said. You're the type of a****** it's these liberals do something 200 times and thinks if you can find one time for every two hundred instances that it qualifies as a both sides argument
by the way your response didn't actually answer my question because I said name three instances that are on the same level as what's going on as college campuses
But you knew that already. Honesty isn't your strong point

Both sides do it?
Do liberal speakers need an army of security when they speak at universities as do some conservatives?
Speaking of universities, have liberals been BANNED from giving speeches there as has happened to conservatives?
Have Democratic Congressmen been shadow-banned by Twitter as has been done to Republican Congressmen?
I will add this. I've visited numerous American political forums over the years and, BY FAR, liberal forums are the first to censor and BAN users.
It's not surprising. After all, historically speaking, the left has ALWAYS censored and banned speech. Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Castro and modern American liberals.

The first article doesn’t really apply.
Not sure how this is the “right” silencing the left. Also, using the Catholic school example is bad. Religious groups have tended to always silence those they disagree with.
quote:
Douglas W. Elmendorf, dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, said in a statement revoking the invitation to Manning that "I see more clearly now that many people view a visiting fellow title as an honorific, so we should weigh that consideration when offering invitations."

Keep moving your goal posts. Like I said you call for instances, instances are shown, and you rinse and repeat.

I admit to having temper tantrums after listening to liberal and black radio...
What comes from their lips is in conflict with so many things I believe are important to the survival of our country.
I used to believe it was good to listen to liberals and there was value in respectful dialogue...
Now I realize if I don't agree with progressives, they are going to go off...name calling etc.

You can't exempt religious institutions. I mean people can use any excuse to justify the silencing of speakers and such

"Waving a Mexican flag on U.S. soil means you hate America..."
Well, that's a bullshite statement right there. Nobody complains about anyone waving their nation's flag at a heritage parade, etc. It's another matter when Mexicans, for instance, protest in the streets against American immigration laws while waving the Mexican flag.
I'm reminded of a meme of a Mexican in America that's protesting while waving the Mexican flag. It says "Waves Mexican flag but doesn't want to live in Mexico".

Waving a Mexican flag on U.S. soil means you hate America, but waving a Confederate flag just means you’re proud of your heritage. The phrase “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” needs a trigger warning.
Just bad examples.
Waving a Mexican flag in and of itself, means nothing. However, storming an ICE facility and putting the Mexican flag above the American flag is different and wrong.
Merry Christmas is something that was around long before Happy Holidays. The only reason happy holidays is even mentioned, is for the people that had their feelings hurt (how I have no idea) by “Merry Christmas”. PC led to this happening, so....like I said, bad example.
Instead of baiting a few clowns into “attacking” you so you can say “i told you so”, why don’t you go do something positive in your own life. In other words, go be happy instead of looking for something to be unhappy about.

How in the world did you get that from the article?
The article is crap, you reposted it, like it is gospel.
You went and made your naivety clear to everyone.
This is why freedom of expression is so important, so everyone can show their true self, and the rest of us know how to deal with them.
That's the beauty of true freedom of speech, no matter what your political leanings are, you can hear opposing views and deal with it accordingly.
If you squash opposing views, you might cut yourself off from valuable information.

The premise of your OP was practically the rise of both parties type of PC. If religious institutions have always tended to silence those they don’t agree with them I can certainly exempt them, as it’s happened for them before politics became what they are.

I'm talking about social media where people can be identified...and the progressives are far more willing to give a piece of mind...and curse and insult you
Here it's safe to hide your identity and throw around a little shock value for self amusement.
Its pretty tame here in comparison

Any attempts to shut down debate is bad. Both sides are guilty of it. Somewhere along the way we forgot that people can disagree without it getting to all this hatred we see today.
I would argue that Conservatives are much more open to debate than leftists and progressives. The problem is in most cases the progressives cannot support or back up their positions other than through emotion. When you try to have a debate and bring in facts or logic, you are immediately called racist, bigot, etc. and the conversation is ended.
