I voted for Trump in 2016 because I’m not a bitch. What did you think was going to happen? Your third party candidate was going win? Hillary wouldn’t be so bad if it came too it? People afraid to vote for an “outsider” is what got is into this mess in the first place.

I don't know why you got 20 downvotes here. Anyone dismissing the fervent hatred ginned up by the media and the democrats, in lie-after-lie about President Trump.... and the resulting motivation to go to the polls and vote against him... is pretty naive.

Didn't downvote but there was a lot of hatred in 2016. I agree the media has done even more to brainwash people into hating Trump in the last 4 years. It may have inspired some folks but maybe some people realized the last 4 years wasn't actually Hitler's Europe that the left would have you believe.

Trump is also polling (for whatever that is worth) really well with the AA community so that may offset any gains in participation due to Harris.

isn't that precisely what occurred in the run up to November 2016?

Your contention is that the treatment in the media and by Democrats of Candidate Donald Trump in 2015-2016 was 'approximately equal' to the treatment of President Trump from 2017 to today?

Well I STRONGLY disagree with that assessment.

Not scared of an outsider...I just wasn't sure he would do what he campaigned on.

I was wrong. I'm 100% behind him.

I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary, but did in the general because frick that bitch and frick all democrats.

This time around I’m pumped to vote MAGA and even went vote for him in the primary this year when it really didn’t even matter.

I know a lot of people just like me who feel the same.

You make a good point. Really. I will however, counter with....

~15 million young people turned 18 since Trump was last voted on, in 2016. I'd be shocked if more than 5 million of them are pro-Trump. And thus I'd expect half of the remaining 10 million to get out and vote for Biden, so that's 5 million more votes for Biden.

Have 5 million seen the light on Trump? Let's hope so!

I've said it. If my family is an example of middle class white America...Trump has gained a freak load of votes. Like all three of my sisters, who all voted Hilary(including sis in law who is gay). My mom. My GF.

Then extended family there are more.

Friend, this election is NOT determined yet. Look close at a BUNCH of issues/polls/etc. and I promise you that we have a LOT of work to do to re-elect Trump! I mean, 5 years of negative coverage and a LOT of misplaced white-guilt out there... the swing states last time were OH-SO-CLOSE. He won Michigan + Wisconsin + Pennsylvania by a TOTAL of 80,000 votes (total, not each state).

Yea, I should’ve stated it better. Every Trump supporter MUST vote.

Y’all think Trump can take Minnesota? I actually think he will. I hope so.

I’m a tad worried about Arizona. I’m just starting to getting a little anxious as Election Day gets closer. I hope and pray Trump is re-elected. I really think he can bring us all the way home his second term in regards to the ideals many of us supporters have. As a conservative/ registered Republican, he’s been better than I could’ve imagined. If Trump is re-elected I’d like to SCOTUS Thomas announce a plan to retire. That’d be 4 total he’s appointed.

That is true but the normal progression is many people flip red as they age and this has nothing to do with Trump or the media or any of that. They see the light in general let alone with how successful Trump has been.

In general the republicans should be screwed due to:
1. they do well with the older population who die at a higher rate
2. all of the young people getting voting age are normally indoctrinated to vote blue

The 1 thing that balances this is that in general as people become more informed and have more skin in the game (both taxes and more to lose) they generally flip red.

I think it will be super close but last time I had 0 hope so definitely feeling better in 2020 (don't know if that is a good thing).
