If the video plays while viewing tweet from timeline, how is that not a view?
There used to be two separate metrics on Twitter before Elon quietly changed it to make it more appealing to advertisers.
Impressions are logged from viewing the tweet in any form from your timeline.
Video views were from interacting with the video and watching at least 2 seconds of it.
The video view counts aren’t visible on Twitter except on android devices that haven’t been updated. That’s where the 14.8 million view metric comes from. That’s people who actually went to view the video instead of it just popping up in their timeline.
