Do you think Turkey has a right to decide its own foreign policy? They have over 5 million refugees, as well as their own “boarder crisis.” They are also a friend of the United States.

Let’s give the Kurds a chance to get ready, then pull out. Remember, they dismantled their Turkish defenses to fight our enemy. We don’t have to stay, but we, at the very least, owe them time to prepare. I would consider that to be most obvious, basic level of honor one would owe a 20+ year ally. A real ally that spilled blood with and for you and not some ally on paper.

I haven’t posted anything that could be interpreted as saying they can’t make some independent decision. I don’t see how that negates our obligations or absolves us for acting dishonorably.
