Very true, but I sense a shift.

I hope so.

We’re a very class driven society, even if we don’t talk about it very much. For me it’s that question at parties “what do you do.”

I think it’s almost always a tool to figure out where you “rank” in society. And that strikes me as tacky.

Partly because of its political economy was oriented around agriculture.

That changes as one ages. The "younger generation" of today will care more about titles later in life.

I think my generation cares less about superficial things as we age.

I always find that Europeans do not like the "what do you do" question. Before I adjusted, people thought I was rude for asking when I traveled.

I agree. My dad always asks me that when I tell him about friends. Often I legitimately don’t even know. How people earn money isn’t that important to me.

A lot of idiots in this thread who have never heard the woman speak are acting like they know anything about her, calling her trash and a whore.

Sad.

People just naturally like leaders. It has always been that way and will always be that way.

We use titles to note who the leader(s) are.

Most normal people see order and stability in their leaders and seek comfort and solitude.

When leaders become unbearable people rise up to force a change but will immediately find new leader(s) and give them titles.

Yes, but I think the structure came first, and reflected our attempt to rebuild the world we came from.

If you asked a southern man what his favorite book was in 1860, he would probable say Ivanhoe.

That’s a very southern attitude and southern upper class attitude.

She has.

I think we get banned if we link porn.

Yeah. Upon reflecting, it actually sounds kind of elitist.

I know about her.

When I say she is trash and when I say she has done porn you can take it to the bank.

Big dicked guy pounding her so hard doggy style her tits are flopping all over the place.

Southern nobility held lands as vassals in exchange for oaths of military service?

Perhaps?

Upper classes usually define themselves through taste, and culture. “You can’t buy your way in.”

And there’s an element of drawing up the ladder behind you to that.

But, on the other side, should we really respect money and trade as the end all be all?

Of course not. But it seems like only rich people know this.

If I'm understanding you guys correctly you are only talking about DIFFERENT kinds of leadership and titles.

No matter how you slice it people will have some kind of hierarchy. While the younger people are interested in hobbies, making money, raising kids, etc. as they age some will begin rising and taking the jobs and titles. Most will not be interested in doing this but will live under those leaders obeying as they should.
