The Popular Delusion

This last week has been absurd. Friends I have had for years have been devoured by BLM groupthink, and those who do not adhere to that groupthink are being actively ostracized, for example Candice Owens and GoFundMe, although from henceforth I will change the nd in their name to ck.
There is a concerted effort to curtail any discussion that does not echo the BLM narrative. It is an attempt to extinguish a free and open exchange of ideas, the very foundation of what made this country great.
And there are a ton of people I once thought reasonable that have given into this mania.
Given what I've seen in the last week, truth has become an inconvenient illusion to many.
The narrative has become the popular delusion.

Seems like academia, media, athletes, celebrities, corporations are all-in with this which is fine. But what right do they have to drag the rest of us with them?

And sadly many of these people won't recognize the delusion until they're headed to the gulags for "wrong think".

Scary stuff. I have an aunt currently not talking to me because she posted a picture of her amazon prime account with a banner showing support to BLM. I replied, it’s definitely an election year. I guess amazon didn’t think black lives mattered for the last four years.

One or two, but for the most part they just took it in stride, be responsible but no reason to freak out.
The last week has shown just how serious the COVID screamers were about the virus. I actually saw one moron say the protesters were showing responsibility by wearing masks, while non-masks wearers were white supremacists...
Never occurred to this mental midget that looters wear masks so they can't be identified. But I suppose in his world, looters don't exist.
The delusional mental gymnastics these people employ is mind boggling.

The exact same people...almost like it has been scripted. The very people that were screaming for me to stay inside and preaching mask wearing are now telling me how racist I am because of my skin color. It's disgusting.
