So there is more dope being muled across the desert on the backs of men, than entering via shipping containers and trucks?

You are wrong on this one. Just because Donald says it, doesnt mean you need to defend it, man.

Let's put it this way. There's so much weed coming over the border on the backs of mules that if a BP agent seizes 100 lbs, it's almost not worth his time. It would be like a cop in Baltimore pulling out all the stops for busting some college kid with a dime bag

Drugs pass easily through my ports of entry, unless I have a sinus infection, or loose stool.

Weed coming over the southern border has diminished in direct proportion to US legalization

And there's still much more coming through POEs

I don't know. I'll need to see some evidence before I go believing that areas with more people tasked to intercept drugs intercept more drugs than areas that don't. Oh, maybe a chart to help visualize it.

I don't know if I'd agree with "much more". You could probably make the case with hard drugs being pushed more through POE's because they're easier to move and provide more profit by volume. Weed is a bulk drug, so it makes more sense to have mules pack it over rather than send it through the POE (although it does happen)

I believe the majority of drugs do come through the ports, but only because you can stash far larger amounts in cars.......than on someone's back.

and you would be very wrong.

they stash drugs in the cracks and crevasses in vehicles so they cant fit as much as you think. the average drug shipment is only around 25-30 pounds stuffed in cars. the large shipments of hundreds of pounds in 18 wheeler shipping containers are very rare.

the average illegal carries a sack on his back averaging 50-80 pounds of drugs. they cross in groups of 5 or 6 at a time so each group can bring in anywhere from 250-500 pounds of drugs

the main difference is in how far and fast a person can go on foot vs a vehicle

How can you or anyone else possibly know for a fact how much weed or any other drug got through the unprotected portions of the southern border?

You don't think that the amount of marijuana confiscation on the southern border has any correlation to how much marijuana is actually coming across? Busts have gone down like 78 percent since 2013. Do you think that these mules have just gotten much, much better at what they are doing, while our border patrol has gotten much, much worse at their job?
