"The life of a child over the liberty of the woman". Well hell..if that's what it is about, I know lots of women who hate their 3 year olds. (i.e. Tot Mom) Why not just shoot them since they are "infringing on her liberty"? Shouldn't we value the life of a child over the "liberty" as you say (should be "inconvenience") of a woman? The moral dilemma.....9 months of misery and residual anguish of a woman.....or the killing of an innocent human being? Go back to the simple case...where a lady just wants to have sex and does so unprotected. Can we at least agree that, in that very common instance, the innocent child's right to live outweighs the consequences of a decision his mother made and the "inconvenience" (or " infringement on her right to liberty" as you say) that it produces for the mother? I mean is this really even a question? You can call it dumb shite in order to deflect...but unless you are amoral, I suspect you know the answer.

I dont consider anyones position on abortion when I go to the voting booth. I just dont see it changing, just like I dont think they are coming for our guns. Why so many candidates run on these things is beyond me.

If you cant win on abortion and guns in Alabama, that ship may have sailed.

I just think the wrong candidate was chosen. Strange or Mo Brooks would have wiped the floor with Jones using the guns and abortion as their basic fundamentals

We would. Read Roe v. Wade and it's progeny.

100% truth. He said he wants the DOJ to be a social agency

Oh please spare me. There was 2 choices. Only one was going to win.
When it gets to that point, and you vote or not vote, your choice sends somebody to congress.
Last might it was Jones. An Obama style socialist who is all for arming the DOJ against the right. Just like Obama did.

Having a relationship recognized as legal, doesn't do a thing to anyone else's moral compass, and doesn't force anyone to feel anything about it. It's not your relationship, and shouldn't be any of your concern. You shouldn't "feel" one way or another about it. Unless, you are saying its against your "morals", and then I would say, then don't get a case of the gays.
Except it doesnt stop there. People are forced to accept it and participate in weddings because of profession.

The supreme court hasn't ruled on this issue yet.

Yep. It's all so many people understand. The abortion issue was settled 30 years ago and yet we have to keep hearing about. If you don't agree with it, don't fricking have one, and shut the frick up about it already. It's done, over, forget about it, and move on to the issues that really matter, economics and foreign policy.

Ignorance. You don't even know the meaning of the word.
Second, an accusation is not guilt.

Oh that's not true at all. This issue goes back to during the Bush years. A movement started that cost the house. If the candidate had 1 "moral" imperfection.... the conservatives stayed home to send a message.
This is carrying over still and it's now encompassed accusations not proven facts.

So, let me remind you- this conversation started because I said I didn't want the government reaching in to my life to legislate my morals.
So, in your defense, you said its "my side" that is legislating morals by forcing people to accept "alternative" lifestyles.
I heartily disagree with you, its all of the right wing, religious freedom people who are asking the government for special laws, so that they can openly discriminate. They are forcing their "muh morals" on the rest of us, just as you are suggesting the gays and lesbians are doing.

Half of the Scotus has Social activists on it. The one who will make the final vote is a leaner toward the left.
That brings me to the point of elections like this one. Trump will get to nominate 2 more during his presidency.
If the senate flips, we will not get a constitutionalist, we will get more activists.
