It’s mainly drones and anti drone capabilities that they have really screws up on.

Which is a very essential part of modern warfare...especially with the Iranians

We did learn some lessons from the Ukraina/Russia conflict on this front so I'd reject the notion from the OP that we haven't made any new shite

At a 10th the cost and 5x the production capability.

Isn't that kind of the point? To not have long drawn out wars? Our technology destroyed a 47 year regime in 3 weeks (not even)

Took them 47 years to build and 3 weeks for us to dismantle

Did it?

They are still in power. Nothing has changed over there.

Absolutely agree...These are just a few of the Army air defense artillery programs cancelled because they failed to meet the needs of the military or became too costly during development: SLAMRAAM (Raytheon), JLENS (Raytheon) (Elevated Sensor), MEADS (Lockheed-Martin) (Multi-National Program with several European countries) IFPC (Indirect Fire Protection Capability. Program initially ended because missiles were not containerized...flawed design concept), M-SHORAD Directed Energy (Lockheed-Martin), etc. Billions of dollars wasted...basically, just high paid contractor welfare....no capability delivered to soldiers. Didn't even touch existing programs like IBCS (Northrup Grumman) that's literally a decade behind schedule, barely better than what's out there today, and has cost the Army nearly a billion dollars a year since inception two decade ago. You are spot on...the defense industry has lost its end.
