There is no successor to the Lord Jesus.

You are missing the point. The whole "he cant" because of baptism isn't even the same park as what the guy is preaching.
He is calling on people to dispose of the system. Therefore, baptism plays no part.
It's akin to somebody who is not a citizen of the USA calling for the disposal of the president and for the people to install him instead.

You're wrong, bruh. The Catholic Church recognizes most other Christian sects baptisms the same as a Catholic baptism. As someone already mentioned, there are a few like Mormons and maybe Jehovah's Witness and Seventh Day Adventists that they don't.
You can convert to being Catholic (you go through the sacraments of confession, communion, and confirmation), but you don't need to be RE-baptized.
Hence, one could technically become Pope without receiving the CATHOLIC sacrament of baptism, because Catholics see all trinitarian Christian baptisms as baptisms.
In fact, what is the Catholic god doing these days? Saving children from the homies and priesties? Nope, that hasn't happened.
Better start reading some Spinoza, peckerheads. Hence.

If that’s your point, I suggest you examine your own preferred god too. Because whichever god you prefer, none of them have done a damned thing to end human suffering at any level, at any point.

If they are baprtized in the name of the F,S, and HS and atleast sprinkled with water, they are baptized. The church does not care where or by whom.
If there are deviations from the above, the church will do a conditional baptism since the validity of the original is unknown.

Any god who even made that possible is either not all-powerful, or an a-hole.

perfection is as perfection does. A real God of the Universe has always been perfect if not pleasing to peckerhead MEN. Problem is understanding.
Luck. Hence

Truth.
Alot of this has existed throughout history of the Middle East with a mix mash of Gnosticism, Islam and Christian ecclesiology.
This guy and his followers can’t travel to other Muslim countries because he’s considered a heretic

You should read the book of Acts. Ya know, Peter, the first Pope....
That's NOT how they baptized. The reason it matters is because God revealed in flesh has a name, Jesus. THAT name matters. THATS "the name that every knee shall bend and every tongue confess..."
quote:
Acts 2:38-41 - On the Day of Pentecost, Peter instructs the crowd to "repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins." About 3,000 were baptized.
Acts 8:12-16 - In Samaria, Philip preached, and people believed and were baptized "in the name of the Lord Jesus." Later, Peter and John prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 10:47-48 - Cornelius and his household in Caesarea were baptized "in the name of Jesus Christ" after receiving the Holy Spirit.
Acts 19:1-5 - In Ephesus, Paul encounters disciples who had received John’s baptism. He baptizes them "in the name of the Lord Jesus

Im not defending the Catholic Church, but... Gods creation was perfect, until man fouled it up.
What God coulda, woulda, or shoulda, do is not our business. We are not God, we can't understand his ways. All the failings of man on Earth are on us, not Him. If we don't like it, God gave us a remedy, it's called prayer.
Kinda like voting, folks want to blame Congress for not taking care of business, while we are the ones that vote them into office!!!
Man always wants to blame any and everyone except himself. IMHO

Man is not god’s creation?
I’m just not big on a guy who ostensibly has all power, knowledge and sentience that creates something only so that it cause itself to suffer. Unless you’re saying that suffering and sin is somehow part of perfection, which leans me to the “a-hole” part of my prior suggested dichotomy. If there “has” to be suffering, how is it possible that god is all powerful unless he’s also a sadist?

Idk, ask Him. Paul explained it to us...
Again, you may choose to reject His teaching (Im not claiming that Im any better, Im the worst, believe me), but its all explained. Even if one chooses not to accept it.
quote:
In Romans 9:21, Paul uses the analogy of a potter and clay to illustrate God's sovereignty and authority in creation. He argues that just as a potter has the right to shape clay as he desires, God has the right to do with His creation as He sees fit. This analogy is used to address the question of why God chooses to extend mercy to some and not others, and why some are hardened while others are saved.
