There's a difference between being "flawed" and outright criminals. Joe Kennedy, the patriarch of the Kennedy family, was the latter.

I doubt you really care OP other than it suits you politically to do so. As was said earlier everyone has their flaws, including you. I doubt you feel Trump is a horrible person even though he cheated on his wives, the same thing you’re hanging JFK and MLK up for.

In terms of numbers, at least the Clintons were a small family. Husband, wife, and one child (of questionable origins). And only Bill and Hillary have tried to run for political office, so far.

On the Kennedy side, you are talking about a large family of descendants, who use the name as a resume enhancement (or get out of jail free card) even if they don’t go by the Kennedy name due to marriage. And plenty of those descendants have tried to run for office.

On the MLK side, you have some family members that can see through the noise of the black community and are Trump supporters. And you have some that are agitators that don’t want Trump in office.

I feel like if you dig into any business tycoons pre-WWII you will find the same mafia-esque storylines.

Thankfully those days are over. Now you just buy a Congressman or two to strangle your competition.

Even beyond that time. There's an argument to be made that, at the time of the Cuban Revolution and later Kennedy's assassination, the CIA, the MIC, big business and the La Cosa Nostra were, at times, interchangeable.

Ted Kennedy had the advantage of knowing his time was coming to an end. While I am sure his death was not pretty, he had his last rites and had plenty time to ask God for forgiveness. He just might be in heaven right now amused by your posting.

We haven't tried to canonize Trump.

The Kennedys are horrible people. An awful clan of corrupt scum totally devoid of morals and ethics.

MLK was a liar, a drunk, a woman beater, and a sexual predator.

I cannot wait until those FBI files on MLK are opened. There is a reason a liberal judge sealed them for 50 years.

Why don't you start demanding that everything related to mlk be erased?

Get in touch with some of the progressives who are trying to tear down everything related to the founding fathers..and ask for some advice on how to start your progressive crusade. There is an mlk highway in my city, in every city.. doesn't that just make you feel depressed that his name is on so much shite? Get to work.
