If as little as 20% of the US population revolted against the government, there would be almost no chance that the US military could over come them.

The justification for owning bars of Gold? All Gold is up for discussion. Should citizens be allowed to own bullion and Bars of Gold?

At one time the democrats confiscated all the gold in this country outside of jewelry and it was illegal to own it.

Justify your need to seize others property first!

Only defense a private citizen has against a government not operating within the confines of the constitution. I don't need to defend my right to own a tactical weapon, the second amendment does so for me. If you want to change that you should be out campaigning to change the constitution or move to another country where those rights aren't specifically protected.

Even if you did try to disarm the citizenry via the legal process, the question becomes does that constitute tyranny?

Keep in mind that our government was constructed especially to protect minority interests from majority mob rule.

I still think that the county, local and state governments in the south would refuse to enforce any confiscation attempts by the feds.

Similar to sanctuary states.

I do think we should be able to own military grade weapons. The fact that you have to apply and pay for a class 3 dealers license to own one is not ideal.

Just interested in hearing the pros and cons in arguments for owning tactical backpacks. All military grade bags are up for discussion. Should private citizens be allowed to own military grade bags?

Well. They aren’t Remington 700 accurate, but chopping the barrel and recrowning it fixes the typical barrel damage that was done by Russians jamming cleaning rods down the muzzle and repairs the harmonics.

I got about an inch and a quarter at 100 yards. Makes it cheap to take the boy into the back yard for target practice. Bullets are really cheap. If I actually reloaded my own, I could get the groups tighter.

I could deer hunt with it, but here in Louisiana, I’d rather just use my 870 with 000 buck or my Marlin 45-70. Brush is too thick around here for a classic deer rifle.

There have been instances of the breakdown of social order. Katrina and Ferguson come to mind, where help from the police was not forthcoming in a timely manner.

These and other similar scenarios could and are likely to occur where you and your family will be on your own and unable to call on LEO help if you need it for some time. A large earthquake in LA is one such scenario. A serious hurricane in a large urban area could be one.

Disarm and trust the government to protect us? You're out of your mind if you think that.

We really don’t. 3/4s of the states will never ratify any changes to 2A.

The 2nd Amendment is a two-sided coin.

One side, no totalitarian govt.

On the other side is what you're saying. If you don't have a totalitarian government, then the government can't guarantee your safety. Liberty carries risk. The government can't protect you all the time. We all have a right to self defense

An AR-15 is not a military grade weapon. The M4 and M16 are military grade, with fully automatic and burst fire. AR-15 is just a civilian model based on the design similar to the military version.

Also... “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”

Like a 303 enfield? You can get the actual weapons used by the military for pretty cheap.
