I see the utility in nationalism, but that's much more inclusive and geared toward the betterment of a nation, irrespective of skin color.

That would be fine if it wasn't so clear that the globalist vision is complete miscegenation and destruction of all race and culture.

I like the differences we have. And I really like my kids and want to have white grandchildren. That's just human. It's not evil, and I don't wish evil on other races.

I follow your explanation of what they believe, but I'm still responding to the concept of black nationalism if it includes some objective believe in the superiority of black culture.

I think it lies more in 'distinctiveness' than in 'superiority'. The two can overlap, obviously, but they do not automatically go hand-in-hand.

That website is hard as hell to read, grammatically speaking.

Also seems like a whole bunch of meandering Op-Ed pieces. (At least from what I have read so far.)

Maybe, but I don't think so for me. Not to belabor a dumb distinction I'm making, but to me it's probably more race(or other immutable characteristic) vs. culture more so than distinctiveness vs. superiority.

For example, I think gay pride is stupid. I think being proud to be a woman is stupid. I'd have no intellectual objection to someone arguing that gay culture is superior to straight culture, however. I obviously don't agree, but I wouldn't say I'd never back a cultural superiority argument, if that makes sense.

Article on who they are:
quote:

These misconceptions have been generated by social justice groups with differing agendas. These include the modern feminist movement and LGBT group, known as Black Lives Matter. I’m not attacking or blaming these groups, however, they especially have contrasting ideologies to Hoteps. One of the most conflicting contrasts is maintaining and strengthening the black nuclear family (mother, father, and child).

Unfortunately, these groups do not focus on maintaining the nuclear family. These groups actually specially focus on dismantling the nuclear family. Because of these differing ideologies, Hoteps do not necessarily support these groups, however, that does not mean we’re anti these groups either. Obviously there are many people who are anti and are (homophobic, sexist, misogynist). Unfortunately, these groups cannot separate between not supporting and being anti and assume anybody who does not support their movement is anti their movement.

I'm fricking blown away. Its like someone went in and looked at the data and said "Huh, when black children have a stable, nuclear family, they do as well as their white counterparts. Maybe we should structure a movement on supporting and encouraging black nuclear families."

In general, when a large contingent of people look at a certain demographic as inferior, do you not think that having pride in yourself, or your demographic is essential in standing up against that contingent? It seems like "pride" is a useful tool when it comes to fighting for civil rights.

It's a good point, at least from a utilitarian perspective. I think having personal pride in one's homosexuality (or heterosexuality) is stupid. As a means for unification to fight oppression? I guess it could be different.

If I'm a gay guy, my pride is in myself and other gay people who are doing _________ to overcome prejudice. Or in courage in standing up in the face of prejudice, or whatever. Not in the innate status of being a homosexual person.
