How expensive would it be to put up a 20 foot chain link fence that has high voltage electricity running through it? It is cheaper and faster to build than the concrete version.

Electricity can be disabled and a chain link can be cut.

It depends on the wall. Presumably, they are doing/have done tests on spec pieces that result in something effective.

Whatever is built needs to go about 10’ into the ground and 30’ above. Needs to be covered in 3 inches of tar and/or grease on the south side. Should also have vibration sensors throughout and 6’ of electrified razor wire on top. Cameras with motion sensors every 1000 feet connected to automatic machine guns.

I have had an idea. The Democrats and news media is so against the wall,let's don't build it at first. Build a wall in 30 days by our military. We can transfer several thousand soldiers to the border,armed, and do a work schedule to man the wall with soldiers. Bring home some soldiers from overseas, Iraq, Afganistan, Phillipines, Guam, Hawaii, etc, old un-needed WW2 bases all over the world, and use National Guard from the border area on their week-end monthly duty. Man it with military, build the Wall later.
