Trumpism is failing for this very reason. Y'all isolate everyone you disagree with.

Theres more blame to go around than just Trump and Trumpism. The people on the right were tired of taking jab after jab after jab from the left every day. Finally someone came along who punched back and spoke for those people who were tired of it. The "principled conservatives" who loved to diss Trump never once did anything for the people or defended them. Its not rocket science why people became very defensive of Trump and his agenda.

And yes the "principled conservatives" share plenty of blame for where this country is today for always folding when the going got tough. Its why, although I believe in low taxes and free markets, I no longer consider myself a conservative.

I don't know of specifics, it looks to me right now that some things are unraveling, but it's the Dems, those soulless bastards aren't beaten until they're dead. Forgive my pecimism, but this is far, far from over. I wouldn't even be surprised if it's a fakeout and we don't even have half of what we thought. Everytime we gain an inch, China buys another politician.

From Part 2 of an absolutely brilliant set of articles from Chris Paul about the matter.

If they were truly winning, their propaganda would be unnecessary.

I stand as example #1 for this truism.

I could not stand Trump during that '16 primary season. Not because I objected to his agenda, but because I didn't think he had a chance and even thought he might be the 'stalking horse' to seal the win for HRC by keeping the GOP candidates in constant turmoil.

I quickly became an admirer of him after seeing that he was for real. I still do not like his persona, but understand that perhaps that was what was needed to pierce the veil that had held back conservative politicians for so long => all trying to be 'perfect statesmanship' while being gutted by the amoral DEMs at every turn.

I'd crawl over broken glass to have TRump back as our POTUS.

I think we can all agree Trump wasnt perfect. What did our coaches always tell us...mistakes are ok, lack of effort isnt.

The effort was always there with Trump and thats why things got done. 3 decades of low effort conservatism resulted in the mess we have now.

Guess our grassroots GOTV better doesn't have time to poke holes in a "far out" theory.
