The founding fathers had a lot of great foresight but apparently, they never anticipated politics becoming a trillion dollar industry. They did not anticipate a majority group of people who were gifted with freedom being so willing to give it all away.

Virtually impossible in some areas. War chests are 20x the challengers because they are obedient.
That a symptom of the real problem, which is an uninformed voting populace. Candidates wouldn't need to spend such ridiculous amounts to grab the attention of voters if voters were organically engaged. And were that to happen, candidates would free themselves from becoming whores and puppets of the elite donor base.

Just want to remind you that until the 17th amendment, State legislatures selected Senators.
Senate = State House
House of Representatives = People's House
So we could talk to our local state rep to evict goofy arse Cassidy if that's what we wanted and not have a system that grossly favors incumbents to life long positions.

I disagree. The Founders got it right by ensuring that the Senate was chosen by state legislatures to represent the interests of the states. Thus, the lobbying groups and other special interest groups who underwrite the bulk of senate campaigns had much less power and sway over politics. Plus, this greatly limited the power of the Federal government and their shoving BS laws down to the states. If this were still in place, we wouldn’t need term limits at all.
The 17th Amendment is what screwed all that up and we would all do well to repeal it.
This is it exactly ….. SM comprehends our history….. one of the worst mistakes ever allowed.

Not true. We have elections, so vote the cucks out.

No they didn't; they set up a perfect system and the voters fricked everything up.
