Fundamentally, if 200 people are dropped into an unpopulated area and must setup a system of living, a rudimentary government, laws, etc. there is no woke idea or policy that would ever get off the ground.

We saw them try, and resoundingly fail. I hope future generations can see this for what it was worth - an illogical experiment which failed despite the backing of very nefarious & powerful entities.

All of these things happened within a quick span from fall of 2011 to spring of 2015. Trump deciding to run 3 months after the Caitlyn Jenner news story was the gasoline being poured on the fire.

ironically, Jenner is totally MAGA and against men in women's spaces.

The reason people attribute Gamergate as the start, isn't because that was when all the cancel and woke shite started. It is because that was when a significantly large group had enough and began pushing back. It shocked the left to it's core, which is when we saw the ENTIRE media apparatus go on the offensive against gamers.

More or less the left won that one, as seen by the fact that it is generally seen as a misogynistic attack on women in gaming, and not what it was.

But it was assuredly a pyrrhic victory at best. It cost gaming media EVERYTHING. Ten years later, gamers are starting to win, and there is no games media to carry the water for the left.

The right got a big win out of GG, too. It created a HUGE anti-mainstream media fervor, and the infamous "meme war" that helped to propel Trump to the 2016 win.
