I fully expect there to be some “bombshell” released by WaPo/NYT/CNN in the next few days to take away from the summit. Their playbook is very predictable.

Bc it’s the bottom of the page.

Shitlery only won 48% of the popular vote. This means that 52% did not vote for her.

Did they all vote for trump? Nope. Just 46% of that 52% did, but. You know.

Math is hard

You.... uh.... do realize... uh... that Hillary only won 48% of the popular vote... right?

Sure. She beat trump who had 46%, but... uh... I mean. Idk. But 48% is not over 50% which is what you claimed.

Also, you are forgetting that 40% of the voting population DIDNT EVEN VOTE.

So... yeah.....

It’s like you completely forgot about write ins and 3rd party voters...

And then of course you forgot about the 40% who didn’t vote for anyone. So she missed 40% of the population in one fell swoop.

Hilarious that yall continually argue semantics. Hillary got 66M votes. That proves the man's point, The Dems got plenty of votes in a national election. Those 66M votes being so localized doesn't bode well for the party in general, but the point stands.

Where did I claim this. The last time I checked 48% is the majority.

Which is meaningless and irrelevant if they don't vote.

That isn’t a majority. It’s like you don’t even English bro.

The majority, is over half. Like wtf? How the frick are you saying 48% of something is the majority of something?

For what it’s worth. She had a PLURALITY. But not a majority. I know. Math AND English are hard

Then why are they included in every single voting statistic then? Why do statistics factor in those who are voting age but don’t vote if they don’t matter?

Jesus frick you’re dumb.

Because she had a D beside her name. Which is my point. How can the Democratic party be on life support when so many people voted for Hillary just because of the D?

No. Not simply because she had a D next to her name. Many people were convinced that she was the only choice. The Democrat Party rigged the primary for her. The media did everything in its power to help her. The Obama administration did everything it could to help her. Women were told that they had to vote for Hillary or they were scum. All of that and more, and she STILL lost to Donald Trump. You are a moron if you can't see that the party is in shambles.

It was that bad a piece of legislation.

Mitt Romney basically invented "Obamacare."

There are about 35% of the people in this country that are hard core democrats. Given the way elections work, it's all about turnout. Trust me that Soros is working overtime to make the blue wave a reality.

It's important that all MAGA voters go to the polls in November and vote against Democrats.

I English from Webster's bro.

quote:

Definition of majority

quote:

the quality or state of being greater

Or you could go with this one.

quote:

the greater number. "in the majority of cases all will go smoothly" synonyms: larger part/number, greater part/number, best/better part, most

Sigh. It’s like you don’t realize that words have different meanings in different situations.

When it comes to VOTES and ELECTIONS, which is the topic at hand.

MAJORITY = 50%+1
PLURALITY= having the most votes but not reaching the 50%+1 threshold.

It’s okay. You’re out of your league.

True but to say the Democratic party is on life support is asinine

I don't believe the OP is asinine in any way but I do agree with you that the DNC will survive. Although I suspect there will be a Tea Party like separation by moderate Democrats from the far left of the party.

They can be included all day but if they don't vote then it DOESN'T MATTER. They are what ifs.

What if Hillay would have won have more swing states. She didn't so it doesn't matter. It's irrelevant.

But they do matter. That’s the thing. They are, perhaps, one of the most important variables when it comes to voting statistics.

You do realize.... those people. Who you say “dont Matter” are the target audience for the majority of ads... right? It’s to swing THOSE “unimportant” people to vote.

I was convinced that the old Blue Dog dems were extinct. It appears that some of them were still out there but were being drowned out by the wacko lib/prog crowd. I won't be surprised at all of Trump gets votes from 70%+ of that segment of the party next election, and the other 30% probably won't vote at all.

They quieted down because neither party was even trying to appeal to them. Trump's message/campaign was tailor-made for them in the Rust Belt, and guess what? He's only going to drive that message home further when he has a positive record to run on in 2 years.

I've no doubt Trump has OH, IN and MI and likely PA wrapped up. He narrowly missed out on MN which he could flip.

The Democrats don't have a message for these people anymore. They've gone all in for the minority vote and forgotten these guys.

They can calculate all the statistics they want and target all the adds the like, but when it comes time to vote If you don't vote then you don't matter.

We are talking about the past election not future elections. I know you want to change the direction of the argument but the fact is if you didn't vote in the last election then you didn't matter.

If midterms go badly, I believe so myself. Moderates have to be very uneasy at the radical takeover and the fringe controlling the party

Article 5. If you get to many red-states, they can wield a strong hammer.

Also, speaking literally about the Democratic National Party, aside from its platform, they could have some image and funding issues if pending campaign financing lawsuits don't work out and/or it come to light that DWS has been a naughty girl.
