So it's the media who distracted Trump......You know Trump is the one who brought it up at the CIA hq then had spicer come out and read the statement, right?

The OP is wrong in his reasoning.

It's the other way around. Trump wants the media focused on this shite and not the public policy he's setting. Every time Trump starts some controversy by saying something stupid or hilarious, I'm thinking what's he hiding and really doing now?

It's unusual for a President to do, unorthodox but it works.

Nah

This is common. They have literally made movies about this.

Yeah, my wife and I were talking about that this morning. I can't figure out if he's clever with absolutely no conscience or concern about deceiving the American public, or completely clueless and occasionally lucky.

I switch back and forth on which one I think it is

I honestly don't see how either of these points is disputable. I've never seen people bitch so much after a month of ostensible triumphs. They even have clowns and propagandists to teach them how to celebrate and whom to ignore. And memes. Lots of memes.

This is what George Will and Mitt Romney and Graham and McCain didn't want any part of.
This is the NYT image being forwarded as Trump's peak crowd:

For those posters saying "it's no big deal" "Trump needs to admit the NYT, CNN, etc. have it right", THE MEDIA LIED!

This is reality:

I've come the recent conclusion that Trump may be a genius that has figured out how to benefit from the media's chickens coming home to roost over their fawning coverage of Obama.

Any man is a genius if he can run a presidential primary campaign on a shoe string budget, completely demolish 16 other republicans including one blue blood political brand with a 100 million dollar war chest, win the nomination with ease and then win the most electoral votes since the 80s for a republican while humiliating another blue blood political brand with victories in states no one saw coming.

You can't do all that shite by accident.
