Both the Lake Charles I-10 bridge and the Baton Rouge US-190 bridge over the Mississippi River need to be torn down and completely rebuilt. They're dangerous and really scary to drive on, particularly the Lake Charles after last year's two hurricanes.

There's some kind of transgender recognition horse shite in there, too.

This is just a see Santa list for liberal filth, just like every piece of legislation they propose.

pilot program to track Your vehicle miles

WTF?! Well...if it's just a "pilot program", does that mean it'll just be conducted for a couple months and then vanish?

That seems to be as unconstitutional as the d*^m Patriot Act which has persisted for 20 full years!

The income tax was supposed to go away after the Great War.

There is only $110 Billion in there for Roads and Bridges. That is less than 10% of the total spending. That is NO where near enough.

This bill will break the DC bank.....exactly what the DEMS want!

It will take 20 years to unwind this tangled web of pigfat.

The Divided States of America is dying.....

This should make you feel better ...

Includes

“equity” oriented grants

" $50 million for Central Utah Project Completion
$5 billion for low/zero emissions school buses
$2.5 billion for a carbon storage commercialization program
$21.5 billion for clean energy demonstrations
$75 million for the Denali commission
$14.2 billion for the Federal Communications Commission
$3.4 billion for the Federal Buildings Fund
$3.5 billion for Indian Health Service "

"$250 million for reducing truck emissions at ports. A $500 million grant for the Healthy Streets Program allows cities to "provide funding to deploy cool and porous pavements and expand tree cover to mitigate urban heat islands, improve air quality, and reduce flood risks.” "

"The bill includes $75 million for the Open Challenge and Research Proposal pilot program, which provides grants for proposals to “research needs or challenges identified or determined as important by the Secretary.” And it proposes a “federal system funding alternative advisory board” that must appoint “advocacy groups focused on equity,” "

"There are also some kickbacks for politicians tucked into the bill. The bill grants $1 billion for the Appalachian Regional Commission and $150 million for the Delta Regional Authority. Conveniently, West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin’s wife is co-chairwoman of the Appalachian Regional Commission."

In addition to this and the highway bill forthcoming, isnt there another 3 to 3.5 trillion dollar bill they are going to tie to the budget to avoid the filibuster?

The spending is literally insane, and we still have to pay for millions of more illegals and their forthcoming 5 anchor babies each.

YES ...

... on a side note TENNESSEE folks should be happy with their new Senator. This is s must read for lovers of Liberty ... happened this after noon ...

A lone GOP senator is slowing down the Biden infrastructure bill he's already opposed to

"During another huddle with reporters on Saturday, Hagerty explained his opposition to the bill and argued he was "not holding this up at all." Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware was walking by and cut in: "Yes he is." "

"Despite this news, I was asked to consent to expedite the process and pass it. I could not, in good conscience, allow that to happen at this hour — especially when the objective of the majority is to hurry up and pass this bill so that they can move quickly to their $3.5 trillion tax-and-spend spree designed to implement the Green New Deal and increase Americans' dependence on the government so I objected," Hagerty said in a statement at the time.

After Hagerty indicated he would block the bill's expeditious passage Saturday, a large group of his Republican colleagues could be seen surrounding him on the Senate floor. Sens. Thune, Lisa Murkowski, Rob Portman, and McConnell's floor staff all spent several minutes huddling with the junior senator from Tennessee, who told reporters before going to the floor that he wasn't blocking the passage and was merely letting the regular process play out.

More stuff they are trying to cram into the bill ...

"Senators are negotiating an amendment addressing the taxation of cryptocurrency"

"It includes $7.5 billion to build electric vehicle charging stations. "
