It is an abject blasphemy against God

I believe in God and His word. But I strongly believe that you don’t really “believe” something until you’ve tried to argue yourself out of it.

I’ll risk the millstone.

Thanks for the prayers.

You need to read.

There is no "risking the millstone"

We all stand condemned.

I am sorry you make light of it. Better men than I would try to save you.

You have learned nothing and embrace your ideology with glee.

Your condemnation does not come from me.

Go with what you have chosen. I will go with God.

I get that.

My point is that if she doesn’t admit it, the baby dies. If she admits it, mother and child die. And that’s God command.

I’ll read it again.
That doesn't appear to be true according to the law, though.

The death penalty was for both the man and the woman caught under the law. If a woman admits to adultery but the man can't be found (or known), then it appears that she would be cut off from the people, similar to other sexual sins listed in Leviticus. The situation with Jesus and the woman found in adultery seems to bear this out, as she wasn't executed because the man she was supposedly with wasn't there to face the same punishment. The context of the purity test appears to be confirming this, as if she were found to have lied before God, she would have great pains and be childless and she would be a curse among the people, but it doesn't say she should be put to death.

The test was actually meant to prove the innocence of the woman before her husband and before the congregation if she had a jealous husband. With no other way to prove her innocence if she were wrongfully accused by her husband, this test was meant to put it to rest and justify her in both the eyes of her husband and in the eyes of the congregation.

Belief as the Bible describes it is trust. It's not merely a mental assent to something.

Looking at the arguments others make isn't the same thing as trying to come up with your own arguments for why you shouldn't believe it to be true. That is a lack of trust.

Also, his assinine characterization is incorrect.

We all stand condemned.

That. Is. The. Point.

I agree that he is. If this were a private conversation, I would have shaken the off proverbial dust a while ago. Since this is a public forum where atheists, agnostics, and other enemies of Christ make these same arguments against the Faith, I want to take the time to answer them so that others who may be thinking, "yeah, what is the answer to that conundrum?" can rest easy. I struggled to find answers early in my walk with Christ and I hope that I can help others who might not be so firm in their faith.

I really do appreciate your concern, though.

Well said.

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction.  For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine.  Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4: 2-4

Amen to that. I've found that very point to be one of the biggest issues people have with God's sovereignty. Most think we are "basically good" and deserve to go to Heaven because we haven't murdered our grandmothers, but that isn't the standard God has to determine our righteousness.
