The 2015-16 report shows Planned Parenthood performed 328,348 abortions, up from 323,999 the previous year. The number of abortions also outpaced the number of breast exams, 321,700, that Planned Parenthood said it performed.

Let’s compare that with some simple gun stats.

quote:

Gun violence in the United States results in tens of thousands of deaths and injuries annually.[1] In 2013, there were 73,505 nonfatal firearm injuries (23.2 injuries per 100,000 U.S. citizens),[2][3] and 33,636 deaths due to "injury by firearms" (10.6 deaths per 100,000 U.S. citizens).[4] These deaths consisted of 11,208 homicides,[5] 21,175 suicides,[4] 505 deaths due to accidental or negligent discharge of a firearm, and 281 deaths due to firearms use with "undetermined intent".[4] Of the 2,596,993 total deaths in the US in 2013, 1.3% were related to firearms.[1][6] The ownership and control of guns are among the most widely debated issues in the country.

It’s true, we have a mass killing problem in this country, and it’s carried out by a government subsidiary company.

Holy shite. I would not have guessed that suicides almost double homicides.

And also happens to have a bigger lobby than the NRA.

Just think all those suicides would’ve been prevented with common sense gun control.

You do realize that most people don't agree with the suggestion that they're equivalent, right?

So what's your point?

That the gun ban folks don't really care about loss of life, just a guess.

It goes part and parcel with the mental health aspect of gun control, imo. Hard to know where to draw the line though.

Also, i am disappointed you couldnt work in a clinton “suicide” joke in there.

Since the 15 kids were killed in Parkland, there have been nearly 12 thousand abortions performed in the US.

A lot of those were suicides.

So,

If my math is right, if abortions were classified as “deaths” (even bough we are comparing 2 different years), abortion would make up roughly 11% of all deaths in the USA.

That is so sickening and sad

I only know one dude who committed suicide (hooked on opioids). He hung himself even though I know he owned firearms.

Abortions are not murder. They are the reomoval of unwanted tissue.

Life begins at conception.
To think otherwise is to be a monster.

You don’t have the right to kill another human just because it’s an inconvenience to you.

At which point should you be able to kill a baby?

14 weeks? When your baby’s heart is pumping several quarts of blood/day? And the baby’s brain impulses are beginning to fire and the baby is using its facial muscles?

Weeks 9 and 10? When the baby’s teeth and fingernails are beginning to form? The baby can turn his head at that point.

Week 4? When the baby is 10,000x larger than it already was, it’s already forming arms and legs and hands and there’s brain waves detectable and mouth and lips are present.

Week 3? When the kid’s backbone and spinal column and nervous system are forming?

Week 22? When the child’s heart is already beating with its own blood? At that point the child would already have a different blood type than the mother.

At what point is that just a ball of tissue? You’re a ball of tissue, a rather big one at that, should I get to kill you because your utter stupidity is an inconvenience to us all? No, because you’re a human, and that child that you would just throw away, is just that, a child. It has rights, too.

You are a truly sick individual.
