Turn that graph around from 1975 and it looks almost the same as the rise in US debt graph by year.

Because the entire leftist philosophy is rooted in jealousy.

here's what your not understanding when you have high confiscatory tax rates it compressed wages no one was going to pay you 100k a year if half of it was going to the government, so we taxed really talented, hard working ambitious people, back into the middle class, to the benefit of the natural middle class so they could live above their means.
that's why a milk man could buy a house and have his wife stay at home and raise kids. you can say that's a good thing. the whole purpose of those tax rates was to keep inflation in check after the depression and WW2. and it worked for 3 decades until it didn't.
bottom line is a milkman is worth what a milkman is worth and a doctor is worth a lot more.

Are you confusing me with someone else?
Here's what YOU'RE not understanding:
You were wrong about $28k not being a lot of money in 1983.
That's all.

And a ball player is worth more than a doctor.
And an actor is worth more than a ball player.
And a woman writing catchy little ditties is worth more than an actor.
And a teacher ain't worth shite.

Leftist?
Income "equality" is becoming reality under Trump. You Trumpanzees voted for this. Your children and grandchildren will have nothing, will own nothing.
Hint: it's not going to be very equal.
