Patrick, Paxton,
Have to admit, I'm not too broken up about that.
Yeah, I had to hold my nose.
You know that 2% LPA vote on these two races ....?

As far as the next generation for the Texas GOP, Dan Crenshaw could be one to watch. Former SEAL, Harvard grad, bilingual, and already been a target of the left.

Indoctrination starts very early for Dems.

My boys are always getting in trouble spouting off about D candidates at school. My boy told some kid who was oozing about Beto that he bet he couldn't name one of Beto's policies, that the kid was only going around saying Beto because his parents told him to.

I think this is true across the board in the majority of cases. Kids tend to follow under the direction of their parents, at least that's how it was whenever I was in high school.

You are probably right. Why is it though that more voting age kids now are breaking with their conservative parents? College campus influence?

Who knows, I think we see the cost of higher education, the rising cost of health care, the aging population, how the government spends money, interest rates on student loans, etc. and think that the government can help control costs (if done effectively through adequate case studies and looking at world economies).

Whether you agree or disagree with the methodology or approach, I don't think anyone of us can disagree that we should be tackling the root cause of these issues instead of putting a bandaid over the issues.

I think we have to admit that TX will become a haven for the “Slippery Slope” party,

People are overestimating the importance of this single election. Beto was lightning in a bottle and Cruz is extremely unlikable. That affected the entire election in the whole state.

In 2020 there will be no Beto, no Cruz, and Trump on the ballot

This is pretty accurate. It is encouraging though to see Texas go Blue at all.

I don't give a chit anymore. This state is lost.

Austin needs a nuke so bad it is just depressing. Too bad Trump had talks with North Korea because I heard that we were one of the primary targets during the Bush years. (Not really but this town is full of SJW's)

I will punch the next SJW that gets anywhere near me and goes off on the evils of the white man. I am done with this chit.

Unfortunately Texas has UT, Tech, A&M, TCU, etc spreading the poison from within.
