It has no impact on my life. I have paused to Google to check to see if the shutdown is done. It wasn’t.

I was watching Blue Planet II, and it got me thinking about several things I wanted to research further. Several of the search results listed pages at noaa.gov, which after clicking linked to a page that read:
I was surprised by this because it seems to me it takes more resources to alter access to the sites than it does to allow them to continue to be hosted normally.
