The tariffs worked so well for the farmers that we had to give them $12 billion this week.

We are taking in an estimated 350 billion dollars a year from tariffs, giving 12 to farmers who are being targeted by China is more than fair and easy to do.

Kind of like the soybean farmers demanding a bailout because they got fricked by tariffs doesn’t fit your narrative, stupid?

It’s great that Lilly is building these facilities.
Fwiw, neither the article nor Lilly said that they were building the faculties because of tariffs. The article just mentioned tariffs.

Heck, by the time the facilities are finished being built, trump will be near the end of this term and there’s no telling what the next president will do.

Frankly, any company making longterm decisions based on short term tariffs, is being ignorant.

And also fwiw, the reciprocal tariffs that China and others have hit us with are badly hurting some industries. Timber and Lumber are being slammed as well as agriculture.

Tariffs go both ways afterall

Of course the tarrifs makes it a good decision, but your article doesn't say anywhere that it was made because of the tarrifs.

It's really not that hard to read between the lines. Here is another article talking about it

NBC

"Eli Lily’s pill in November won a priority review voucher from the Food and Drug Administration, which will significantly speed up the regulator’s assessment of the drug to potentially a few months.

Drugmakers have been scrambling to boost their production in the U.S. after threats by President Donald Trump to impose tariffs on pharmaceuticals imported into the U.S. But concerns about those potential tariffs have eased following recent drug pricing deals with Trump that exempt companies from the levies."

I don't understand why this would be a bad thing EVEN if you don't agree with tariffs. How can adding jobs and more money into local economies be so horrible?

What about the tens of millions we just gave the Taliban?

Republicans are calling out the Trump administration after $45 million was reportedly sent to the Taliban in Afghanistan by the Department of State on Monday.

Medicines are one of the few things I think we should do everything in our power to have manufactured here. They’re too important to trust another nation with.

Hey dipshat, tariffs are part of the supply chain. Sounds like your management is afraid to admit they were fking the US for decades

Maybe they should not be betting their childrens well being on sucking off chinas pigs, they made a mint while it lasted, they should have saved a few shekels.

Depleting our aquifers to grow corn for china is not going to work out long term.

When china throws a tantrum and stops buying our soybeans/corn, this happens.

The farmers are a casualty of an evil chinese regime, not tariffs.

Hey bunkie,

Do the math....

quote:

Tariff revenues have surged in recent months. According to Fox Business, the US collected a record $34.2 billion in October alone.

And rising each month.
