Sadly, they were set up for a very sad and terrible finale.

Not really.

For anyone who’s ever read his words and about his deeds, it’s crystal clear what he would’ve done.

He’d have likely broken bread with them and told them that he loves them…but that they should cease their sin and repent. And he’d have refused to celebrate their sinfulness.

Yep.

He didn't pull many punches which horrifies the SJWs.

Dysfunctional adults who can't tell a man from a woman try to create a Jesus that is some party animal.

Yeah, spreading the Gospel is not the same as affirming one's life as a sinner. It's not "come as you are and leave as you came."

Incredibly poetic and correct.

You've always been a shite poster without trying....now you're putting in some serious work to be a shite poster.

Nah, you're giving him too much credit.

He's just a run of the mill POS Leftist, nothing more.

No he'd be more like the peaceful street preacher on the corner telling people to repent. Love the sinner, Hate the sin. Homosexuality is a sin, stop trying to change the rules you vile democrats. Accept it if you are so proud of it, and stop with the anti-Christian rhetoric to try to make yourself feel better about your debauchery.

These type of people and the atheist/agnostics that feel they need to speak for God are the ones He said not to take His name in vain.

He'd also be objectified and #metoo'd by countless horny, mentally ill men.

But it's cool when gay dudes do it...

Reach out is a lot different than being a marshal of a gay pride parade. Pretty sure Jesus said to be in the world not of the world.

Hank doesn't understand the difference.

Again he's got some social issues. His "job" here is to validate insane social beliefs form progressives.

No, it isn't. The answer is right there in the Bible in MANY scriptures.

I don't think Sunny Hostin is in much of a position to tell us what Jesus would or would not do.

Sunny, here’s a pro’s tip.
JC ain’t coming back as the redeemer, but as the righteous indignation of God.
An F5 with an attitude.

Reasonable point but misleading.

Jesus took flack for who he reached out to and who he let approach him, even touch him physically. As you note, lepers, tax collectors, prostitutes, adulterers, sinners in general. The sick need a physician, not the whole and healthy, didn’t Jesus say?

There’s no specific record of an interaction with a homosexual. Replace the “woman caught in adultery” with “the man caught laying with another man” and I believe you can adduce Jesus’s response. “You without sin cast the first stone.” And to the sinner, “Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more.”

quote:

Because we have so little reliable historical info about him people tend to cherry-pick verses that support their own views and project their own ideals upon him.

Cherry picking verses is and will always be a pesky issue as long as we’re hindered by our sinful nature, our flesh as KJV puts it. But that’s more or less irrelevant to the question.

The observation of having “so little reliable historical info about him” is inaccurate. There’s more than enough evidence to have a reasonable Christian faith in the New Testament alone.
