Sultan (name of guy at my work) says Antifa is todays equivalent of Normandy soldiers

There is this guy at my work and his name is Sultan and he is always barking about politics.
Today they were talking about Antifa and Sultan said Antifa is a noble organization that is today's equivalent to those who stormed the beaches of Normandy and defeated the nazis in World War 2.
He said the only reason you would be opposed to Antifa is if you support fascism.
He said he full throatedly supports any entity that is willing to take the fight to the nazis, fascists and bigots.
No one probed Sultan, but I am sure Sultan likely has a rather loose definition of what exactly a nazi/fascist is. It wouldn't surprise me if that definition was anyone to the left of Mao.
