It seems as if most don’t understand the management of risk within the business community. Let’s just say you’re the captain of a ship, or a logistics coordinator, or the ceo of a shipping conglomerate. Your ship gets sunk and an investigation is launched. Now you’re being asked what your decision process was.
The question is like this: when you approved passage through the straight, what was the most recent stance of the Iranians regarding passage? Now, if your answer is “we thought it unlikely that the Iranians could actually sink our vessel and create a PR nightmare”, than your arse is getting fired. It’s not about the odds of what you can accomplish, it’s about what you can justify in the worst case scenario.

My brother in law did that once. Still had to go to work though.

The hatred and contempt for the United States and Israel by the Islamic republic has truly reached pathological proportions. More show of force by "just blowing up stuff" is rightly viewed as weakness. This is a religious war, and the mullahs won't. back. down.
