FYI. I don't support or not support sterling. But I think it's obvious the sale price was over value. However value is whatever someone will pay. It is hard to break into the "owners club". So if it takes 2b. So be it. But let's not pretend it's an investment.

I honestly can't fathom anyone thinking Sterling lost on this deal.
I can, he lost the team..... That he still wants.

If we got paid per post, you would be Donald Sterling and I would be Magic Johnson
Well Magic Johnson is worth half a billion dollars so you wouldn't even come close to qualifying by that comparison.

Good for Sterling. He cashed in. Now he can spoil more Shemales.
My season tickets have increased like cray.
Ballmer better Pony up for LeBron now

I agree with that. My whole argument is that Sterling didn't win because he was forced to divest himself of a 2 billion dollar asset that he had no intention of selling before the shite hit the fan

If the cash flows were so great and he's looking at a $2B valuation, why would he want to sell that asset?
Because Ballmer paid a helluva lot for blue sky because he wanted to be the guy who saved the Clippers from the evil Sterling.

No. These sports teams are only status symbols for the ultra wealthy.

Holy crapballs, Batman. Are you two still arguing this shite?

I'm glad it's over. I think the legal point about forcing sales and rooting through people's past and lives is solid, but this fricking guy was not the person I wanted to knight for over it.
But at least we can laugh about the fact that, as an involuntary conversion, it's a tax free transaction, in good ole CA.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

I'm not reading past this but I'm betting the usual suspects now say "I told you so!" To this turn of events as well.

Holy crap. Now I actually believe Sterling won.

I don't quote anyone. I'm here. The team wad appraised in January at 600 bil. An 81 yr old with dementia made comments about "blacks" to his side who're and sold the team for 2 BILLION and you're fricking stupid enough to think he didn't come out a winner?
Wow!
And he dropped his case after meeting with the NBA....you can bet your arse he came out of that meeting with more incentives to sell. Probably the 2.5 fine dropped at the minimum. Oh the horror, he is still banned....lol. He does not care.
I never thought the guy would stay owner. He was ALL about the cash and obviously came out on top, again!
And if you think he couldn't have dragged the NBA in court for a few years, well then your as dense as I originally figured. He'll be near death in a few years.
But, I'll play your game kid....tell us how Sterling lost.

The Clipper franchise would never have been valued at 2 billion dollars during Sterling's lifetime.
He won
He won

Keep spinning.
He bought the team for $12 million and will sell for $2 billion TAX FREE!
OH....someone called him a racist. DAMN! What a huge loss.

I don't see how you can say that when it absolutely was valued at 2 billion.
Sterling could have gotten $2 billion if he voluntarily put it up for sale.

Pipe down, checkers.
We know what the profit/loss statement looks like. No one is debating that.

He is being forced to sell.
Sterling is being forced to sell a team that he wants to keep, this is not spinning. That is a fact.
Is he going to profit from this, sure, but he is "winning" for "losing" here. He is losing something he wants to keep.

Highly doubtful if the market would have valued the Clippers at 2 billion or even at half that figure.

nopussy, no one cares that some idiotic liberal called them a name.
Sterling is a businessman, and he just pulled off an astounding business coup.
Sold a business for 3.5 times it actual value, and did it TAX FREE.
You'll never pull off anything that slick from your Mom's basement.
