That's a deep pull from the data banks.

Look at the swastika, Nazis, so prominent in a show just 20 years removed from the war.

Try doing that today, and you'll get cancelled with in the hour.

The comparison is more about a drugged figure head than the Nazi comparison, but the political comparisons also work.

You beat me to it. I was going to say that the episode is about the guy being drugged and controlled by a person with an agenda of his own which is relevant and its also relevant that they are Nazis because that is exactly what the left wing is.
