ROMA, Texas (AP) — More property owners along the U.S.-Mexico border in South Texas have said they've received notices from the federal government asking to review their land, which could be used for border wall construction.
KENS-TV reports residents in the town of Escobares, including Mayor Noel Escobar, received letters from the Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection a few weeks ago to get their consent to survey their land.
Rio Grande City School District board president Daniel Garcia said the district got a letter in May about district property that's being considered for "tactical infrastructure, such as a border wall."
The school board last month approved a request from U.S. Customs and Border Protection to come onto district property for survey and site assessment. LINK

anybody hanging on initial site assessments as proof that the wall is going to be built has never worked for the government

so change your title to reflect this is required under a 2006 legislation.
that way you Trumpkins can actually have all the information instead of frothing up and over with some Maga wall posts.

Anybody hanging on to thinking Trump doesn't mean what he says he's going to do hasn't been paying attention the last 2 years.

What'd he do? Name a town after himself and declare himself mayor?

It's Cruiserhog. Dude's a loon. When they build the wall, he'll probably rush down there with a sledgehammer.

That is important wording because it implies National Security which a border wall is. National Security constitutionally supersedes "environmental" or eminent domain issues.

Trump means exactly what he says about the Wall. However, it has always been my opinion that nobody in FedGov but Trump wants the wall. Republicans don't want it, but they can't make that public. Dems don't want it. The Federal judiciary is full of leftist activist judges -- they will enjoin it from being completed. AND finally, the EPA could delay it with bureaucratic processes and impact assessments.
That's why I have never believed that Trump's wall will be completed. IMHO, completion will be delayed past his time in office and that will be the end of the matter. The effort to build the wall will end with Trump's final day as POTUS.
