Sondlan: Telling the truth but doesn’t mean anything

Disclaimer: I have a job. Therefore, I have to rely on a carefully chosen spectrum of news sources (including this place) to triangulate “truth”. I don’t get to watch all the testimony live.
TBS, my impression is that Sondlan is doing th ebest he can to reconstruct a hodgepodge of hearsay and his own observations. No matter how much people want to pigeonhole what he says, there is so much gray area that you can se whatever you want to in it.
It’s like he’s saying there was quid pro quo, and it could damage Hunter Biden, but that was not the objective in and of itself. It was incidental.
He doesn’t seem to have an axe to grind, but the left is basically making it a case of him not being able to conclusively remove the political angle.

What sticks out is that he gave the dems and media the soundbite of "Quid Pro Quo" for a reason. Why?
He also left out the conversation with the President saying "I want nothing, no Quid Pro Quo". Why?
These 2 things aren't accidents, they are intentional. I can come up with a few reasons but I would just be "presuming".

You realize a Democrat congressman has called for and organized a boycott of his wife’s business.
You realize he left out the denial by President Trump of a Quid Pro Quo in his 23 page opening statement because he “didn’t have room”?
This whole event is a farce.
But hey, his opening statement got the boycott lifted.

because this entire thing was well orchestrated trap laid by Trump. Someone gave the whistleblower bs info and bam Trump released the transcript and what do you know , whistleblower not important anymore . No witnesses have anything and they all are pulling the dems around in a circle jerk . Trump always said impeachment would be political suicide for the dems and here we are ......

Following up on NimbleCat's post just below yours where he says:
quote:and that Sondland's opening statement got the boycott lifted (not sure if that's true or not), another poster here made a thread earlier with a link to a local Fox affiliate in Oregon reporting on it... earlier poliboard link here:

proof of witness intimidation
Also, I missed it, but heard Texas rep. Conway (I think) railed against the democratic rep from Oregon, Blumenauer, for his inciting a boycott against Sondland's hotel business in Oregon... And to summarize some of what's in these posts, links, etc. Sondland changed some of his testimony after Blumenauer called for the boycott, and I think after Sondland's opening statement today, Blumenauer tweeted "welcome to the resistance" to Sondland. Perhaps not conclusive, but it is suggestive that the soundbites today and changed testimony might've been a result of this pressure.
