The Democrats are the Whig Party. They just don’t realize it yet. They can’t be a viable Socialist Party in a Middle Right nation unless they have an exceptionally charismatic leader.

Obama was that. But he faked moderation to win in 08. These guys aren’t allowed to even be fake moderates anymore. They have boxed themselves into a corner .

1. People who grew up voting Democrat and don't really know why, just sort of a family tradition.

2. Fringe special interest groups who have an axe to grind and blame America and society for their problems.

3. Jealous/poor people who just want a handout.

4. True believers, they actually believe authoritarian socialism is awesome.

I will clue you in. Right wing media sources and TD Poli Board posters spend all day saying nothing truthful about Democratic politicians and policies. So your inability to understand is the disconnect between reality and what you are told. I can understand your frustration. You are being lied to constantly.

Spot on.

Who doesnt have access to healthcare? I have it because my wife and I work our asses off to make enough money to pay for it for our family.

Why should I have to pay for someone else? Why are they not responsible for themselves.

Why? Please articulate your thoughts on why?

Democrats have taken over the institutions of the university system, the media, and upper levels of tech companies. It was a strategic plan

A majority of the population is disgusted by this fraud who is President, and cannot wait until he is out of office.

And this is the only articulate answer to my original question - it is Trump hatred that fuels the DEMOCRAT voter in this election.

Let me in on a secret - I hate Trump's persona as much as anyone. I would not want him as a son-in-law, a neighbor, or a friend.

BUT, I absolutely love him as PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATEs. If I was in an airplane with a disabled flight crew, I'd choose a whore-mongering, braggart who just happened to know how to fly the plane to a safe landing than I would a sky-screaming do-gooder community organizer at the controls. And that was exactly the situation we faced in 2016.

Calling the press the enemy?? That is flat out unamerican,

That is the absolute truth as applied to well over 3/4 of all 'news' organizations. They are not in the business of providing 'news' anymore - all they regurgitate is the DEMOCRAT propaganda.

What their undeniable alliance with the DEMOCRAT party has done is put the nation on that airliner with a disabled crew - destined for a fatal crash as soon as it runs out of fuel. Over 75% of broadcast news is pure propaganda and over 90% of 'social media' is even worse.

If you want to deny that, I'd invite your discussion on the topic. But you will have to be prepared to justify what the biased media refuses to broadcast, and compare their treatment of Obama's administration to how they treat the Trump administration.

Platitudes about 'freedom of the press' will be ignored. Nobody is challenging freedom of the press - we are just characterizing what the content of their reportage is.

Propaganda is completely protected within 'freedom of the press' statutes. But it is ALSO freedom of SPEECH to condemn it as propaganda.

Precisely correct - I have advocated for a poll test of decades. If you cannot pass, you get to vote for 'most popular' as a consolation,.

Do you just post google images without reading?

In Louisiana there are more white people than black people who receive food stamps.

I'm sorry if this goes against your preconceived notions and biases.

You gotta be pretty out of touch if you can’t understand the reasoning behind more than half the voters in 2016.

Progressive tax
Medical care
A more welcoming border
Abortion rights
Gun control

If you’re really into those things, you probably vote Democrat.

Which leads me to believe all this is about ANTI-American heritage, history, and civilization.
That’s plain ignorant.

This is total BS . Before Obamacare all you needed was a full time job and it was offered and affordable. I think we need to have a group offer for everyone to join who have part time jobs or no jobs . Healthcare for everyone will destroy this country. Everyone would get jobs where they were payed under the table . A lot of older people would quit because they are only working to have health insurance.

True - but I have this unique ability of being able to determine truth from falsehood.

I know politicians lie - meaning exaggerate - when they are making promises - but their is no way they can do otherwise - they do not know what obstacles they are going to face or what global situations will develop.

But campaigning on outright lies is solely the province of the DEMOCRAT party. Their allegations of 'what the GOP will do to you" is all based on absolute falsity. - the GOP is NOT going to 'put you in chains' - they are NOT 'going to starve your grandmother' they are NOT going to 'poison your water and pollute your air' - they are NOT going to inundate the coastline with rising tides from global warming' - they are NOT going to regrulate your sex life - they are NOT going to 'keep women barefoot and pregnant' - they are NOT going to imprison minorities - they are NOT going to 'increase tribal divisions' - etc etc etc etc.

EVERY Democrat assertion about GOP is entirely FALSE - and knowingly false by the DEMOCRATs themselves and the MEDIA who promote it.

THAT is the 'disconnect' we have with the DEMOCRATs - Democrats are dishonest to the core,

They WILL NOT CAMPAIGN on their honest objectives - which is what this thread is all about.

YOU can be the hero here - Outlne the DEMOCRAT agenda in terms of policy positions that you can DEFEND - rather than just spew out PLATITUDES and ACCUSE the GOP of doing everything bad you can think if.

TRUMP hatred is the only thing that can be articulated - and I will challenge any specific assertions you make as to why you hate him.

Willful ignorance. There are plenty of reasons to vote Democrat. You and I just don’t like those reasons so much as some people do.

It's more than simple demographics...that study has been debunked entirely because it cannot account for things like military spending, defense contracts, etc... that are allocated to certain states...

The question was about handouts.

Defense contracts are not handouts - something worthwhile and productive is received in exchange for those expenditures.

Now if you want to discuss overspending, graft and corruption in defense spending, I'll listen - but you would have to apply that standard to all of the other Federal Agencies as well. And we could discuss the 'what we get' in return for those expenditures = I'm looking at YOU, Department of Education, et al.

That's really not shocking considering 2/3 of Louisiana citizens are white.

From a per capita standpoint, it skews heaily towards black Louisianans. That isn't debatable. Hell, in District 2, over 80% of black Louisianans used food stamps in 2017.

I've been waiting for this answer - it is the only thing that they could articulate their position on and defend it. I do not think their defense would work except for the areas where almost everyone agrees = first trimester, etc.

But not one of the Prog/DEMs has raised that - surprising.

Ot os because they know they have accepted "abortion rights" as their religion - something that can be held up like a holy relic in front of their attack on any other issue they want to forward.
