Shame.I lived in Montgomery county in Grogans Point (gated part of Woodlands) for years. To show you the effect of liberalism, GP was mostly business people, some professionals when I built in '93 for $500K. Sold and moved across country in '97 for $795K. It sold again around 2005 for $1.1M. All conservative, and yes 80% (at least) Republicans at the time. Then the trash starts showing up from Ca, MW, and NYC with their destructive politics according to my old neighbors who moved further out. My beautiful old home was on the market 3 months ago for $700K. And won't bring it. Democrats kill the suburban dream.

The area surrounding Vanderbilt reeks of soy, cat ladies, and stinky hipster. The Parthenon looks like a hippie colony. Nashville needs a good old fashioned Biblical cleansing.

Oh yes they will. They’ll run on free stuff for all the poors, and they’ll figure a way to win. The Republicans don’t give a shite about conservatism. If they did they would have stopped illegal immigration in the 1980’s.
Conservatism, Inc has conserved nothing. That's why it has to die.
Remember the old X-Files series? The Alien invasion subplot? How Smoking Man was basically a toady for rich humans that knew the aliens were coming, and figured that they'd rather serve the aliens (and prosper) rather than fight for their fellow humans?
That's exactly how I feel about the GOPe. They've looked at the demographic challenges and decided that they'd rather prosper serving the invaders than stand with their own people.

People from New York are moving there like wildfire

I just left California, and hubby and I are ultra conservative.
We are going to get involved in local politics and try to keep wherever we land conservative.
The problem is that you guys are the minority. Most of the influx is indeed pretty damned liberal. You are, at best, cancelling out a small portion of the invasion.
Talk about the law of unintended consequences: when Rick Perry was trying to lure California businesses to Texas, he brought Californian attitudes as well. He either didn't foresee this, or just didn't care.

I saw the California migration start here in Washington State in the 70's.
Its now pretty much destroyed us. Especially three counties starting with King which hosts Seattle.
Good luck Texas because like Washington I think your days are numbered. They slowly will chew away at you. It took us 50 years to get Seattle where its at today. Been here 63 yrs.

Was NOT a majority vote that founded this Constitutional Republic, and it won't be votes that maintains it. A relatively small % wanted to confront England re independence, and a small % fought and won the war.
I have no idea re the details and scenarios that unfolds to get us from here to whatever our Nation is destined to become, but I know what we all hope for. Maximum freedom, security and prosperity for as many as possible; for all who are willing to commit to serving common Principles which reward people according and relative to their personal effort and merit.
It goes without saying that there are many who exploit the Capitalist Model (personal, merit-based reward) and offer little to nothing of real value to the Collective, while getting filthy rich in the process. Politicians come to mind...in bed with the Globalist Money Marketeers...I.e., Profiteers.
I would love to see a World wherein Redfield's "The Celestine Prophecy" is the Civilizational model; but I am a Romantic Idealist...and might be out on an irrational limb.

i doubt they change their voting habits.
There should be no doubt. They won't.
Texas need to start an ad campaign all across I10, I20 etc... Billboard every mile saying "If you intend vote the same as you did in CA, turn around. There's reason CA is jacked up and that reason is you!"

I'm visiting Colorado right now. After leaving California, we went to Arkansas. My husband is missing the mountains, so we are checking out Colorado.
I feel like I am back in California: BLM painted on the street in Frisco, 10 cent fee for bags, and the safety alert about wearing masks. I'm ready to go back to Arkansas!

Dallas and Houston are terrible too!
I grew up in Dallas, and it has changed a lot!

If Texas MUST have a Wall, I would choose our West and North borders.
I far prefer Mexicans to Yankees and Californians.
Toss-up between Mexicans and Cajuns.

There are Facebook groups for conservatives leaving California. Most of them seem to be heading to Idaho.
My hubby wants to go to Idaho or Montana, but it's too cold for me. Plus, southern women are different than the northern women. After living in California for 30 years, I need to be around southern women.
