The entire system is rigged against us peasants.

Amazing thing is how they’re doing it so out in the open now and even so, nothing will happen to them.

Big hedgefunds place massive shorts on Gamestock and other retail companies.

Reddit shitposters call their bluff buy en-masse buying up gamestop and other retail stocks that are being shorted, causing the price to massively spike.

Hedgefunds lose $90 billion + dollars and are forced to sell shares of other companies to cover disastrous losses.

Trading platforms like Robinhood start zero-ing out shitposter investor accounts and preventing users from buying gamestop and other stocks that were being shorted.

Hedgefunds get a bailout.

that's an interesting concept as well. they didn't get a bailout from the government, but a private company stopping the stock from moving from it's platform (RobinHood.)

i think it's chicken shite, but free market responded to something in the free market it didn't like.

i'm all about the smaller guys kicking the HF in the nuts, don't get me wrong. but an interesting case study of the free market fighting for survival against the free market.
