This is a dumb argument.
If polls are not to be believed (to a degree of 40+ percent) then Trump will regret the decision. He can only harm himself.

We aren’t talking about a poll being off by 3 or 4 points either. They’d have to be off by 35 -40 points. That’s a statistical impossibility for even a marginally valid sample.

Why would he risk a chance at anything that could possibly work against him? It's a smart move. Critics say he's scared, but anyone that's been around the last 7 years know that isn't remotely true.

He isn't going to next week's debate because he has a beef with Fox News. All the better to distract attention from it by going on twitter with Tucker.
