Fixing that obviously involves building smaller homes.

I built my second home. And I didn't think I was accomplishing something otherworldly.
Who is stopping you from building a home if you can't find what you can afford in your market?

Sounds like LSUconvert is more a man of words than a man of action.

Paying interest to park your money in the wall paper of your home only to take it out and pay interest again is building equity

A major metro with 100's of thousands of good paying jobs?

What policy have you (or anyone) posted about in this thread? I haven't read every page but I don't remember anything policy-related in what I've scanned through.

Back in the day when common sense was prevalent, we learned that if you can’t afford to live there, the pay isn’t good enough.

Entry level pay isn't. 20+ year experience pay is. Also, this doesn't address the point I was making. None of those "starter homes" exist anymore. They get snatched up by cash buyers and turned into rentals, or they get torn down to build a $500k house on the lot, if it's a desirable area.

They want cheap homes that are bougee, in great neighborhoods, less than 10 minutes from their 150k paying jobs they get right out of college
