this is better for his career than if he actually spoke at CPAC.
it's also another example of why I like that trump is just relentless in defending himself from the media because republicans are terrified of the media.

You keep claiming it was a joke, but Milo's clean up response doesn't rely on that reasoning.
I'm not accusing Milo of being a pedo, but his defense differs a lot from your own.

FWIW, i don't think Milo advocates what the left is saying. After listening to a few of his speeches, he is crude and speaks bluntly. He has a very sarcastic sense of humor, that some would say dark. However, i completely understand CPAC distancing themeselves from him.
Here's a recent statement from Milo.

I shouldn't have used the word "boy" -- which gay men often do to describe young men of consenting age -- instead of "young man." That was an error.
I am certainly guilty of imprecise language, which I regret.
Anyone who suggests I turn a blind eye to illegal activity or to the abuse of minors is unequivocally wrong. I am implacably opposed to the normalization of pedophilia and I will continue to report and speak accordingly.
Which i think he's starting to recognize why people may be forming opinions about his original quote.

I don't think Milo needs defending here. Well, I don't think he needs knee jerk "liberal lies!" defending.
He's a shock merchant, and when a dude like him releases two statements in a few hours, it's probably because he's taking off the persona for a minute and recognizing he fricked up a little. I think that enhances my opinion of him, honestly.
