Now, imagine that there are only 6 grocery store companies that each have their own territory and refuse to intrude on each other's space. Rouses owns ALL grocery stores and even food stands in the gulf south, publix owns the Atlantic Coast, Wal-Mart has the Midwest, etc. No matter what the chicken or the zucchini costs, you don't have a choice who you buy it from. They get their cut either way. Now, imagine they don't want you to buy zuchini. They don't have to carry zuchini in their stores. Sure, there might be thousands of different fruits and vegetable products that you want, but those grocery stores decide that the only products in their stores are chicken. You can't buy anywhere else. Guess what, you're stuck with f&%King chicken no matter how much it costs.

the free market isnt working on comcast....they have a government granted monopoly.
your solution is to give them government cover for their monopoly.

Do it.
I need to laugh some more.
Explain to me how your chicken and zucchini analogy relates to deregulation of ISPs and the end of net neutrality. Specifically.
I'll wait.
Or are you just going to type some snark remark instead of having and actual conversation. This will be the third one of your analogies I've asked you to expound on.

No, that's what REMOVING NN does! Without NN, they don't have to carry the content of their competitors!
It would be akin to Amazon buying UPS, the USPS, and DHL and then deciding that the only mail that gets delivered is packages purchased on Amazon. Wal-mart would need to create their own infrastructure to deliver packages or pay Amazon to go through them.

I most certainly can buy elsewhere.
I cant buy elsewhere when government regulations PREVENT me from doing so (cough: insurance; cough: utility regulation)

Are they able to prevent anyone from bringing in stuff to sell?
I get that you guys can concoct some pretty fun what if's.
But, economics works always.
If there's a shite ton of money to be made, people who like making a shite ton of money will show up.
And they'll do it REGARDLESS of the barriers.

and if they dont, the market will allow for entry of those that do.
the answer is never more government. never.

Government granted monopolies are not part of any free market.
The common sense approach is to increase competition.

Yes. I'm aware. Which is all the more reason to protect the underlying market foundation they have monopoly control over the entrance to.

Explain to me how ensuring all internet traffic by any ISP is treated the same gives Comcast governmental protection for their monopoly.

Except it won't, because they have government-granted regional monopolies on the infrastructure.

You started out by saying I'm not real and don't really think what I'm posting. Then, you shifted to I'm just trolling.
Meanwhile, I've been 100% consistent. You don't agree with me, but let's not make it more than what it is. You just don't agree.

NN does nothing about this. Instead of increasing choice, it just formally establishes these "monopolies."

Not if there are only two grocery stores who also own the only farmland.

Because the internet is NOT the chicken. The internet is NOT the zuchini. The internet IS THE MARKET ITSELF!

1: theres a government monopoly in a market
2: we need to regulate the monopoly to protect the market!
3....why not just remove the monopoly.

Because you guys like to run around declaring that it's all important........but, that's all you do. Declare it.
