According to this: LINK
Fathers are more likely to commit filicide than mothers. More likely to commit infanticide and adult filicide. Mothers are more likely to commit neonaticide (less than 24 hours old)
That link talks about mothers and fathers in the text, but the actual charts only break the perpetrators down to male or female.
It also includes data when the victims are already adults.
The 2024 report on Child Maltreatment from HHS and the Administration for Children and Families has more accurate reporting.
Victims maltreated by mother alone: 37%.
By father alone: 25%
By both parents: 19.3%
By a non-parent: 15.2%
Mothers are more likely to abuse children.
For child fatalities:
Mothers only: 31.8%
Fathers only: 13.7%
Both parents: 22.4%
Mother and non-parent: 8.8%
Father and non-parent: 1.7%
Not only do mothers kill their babies over 2x more than fathers, they allow step-parents or live-in boyfriends to kill their children at over 5x the rate.
Fathers are the most protective people of their children.
They are also significantly less likely to kill their child when the mother is not involved. Take from that what you will.
