Dont have to goober. I can show you what he did
quote:
The Trump administration’s unusual step to make the U.S. government one of the largest shareholders in a major Silicon Valley company raises important questions about how that partnership will influence other businesses and affect markets, experts say.
quote:
In a rare move, the United States has invested in a private company that is not in immediate danger of failing or dramatically impacting the economy.

Are command economies left or right?
Little Johnny wants to play on the sandlot football team. He's really athletic and smart. But the other boys won't let him have team equipment. What should little Johnny do??
1. Get his own equipment and dominate the competition
2. Be a waterboy for the team and watch everyone succeed while his muscles atrophy and he sinks into a miserable depression, gets hooked on drugs and panhandles for money. Eventually he turns to prostitution and dies a horribly painful death from numerous STDs. The other boys steal all his stuff and repo his family property.

Just answer the fricking question and stop meandering like a woman.

Not only economically ignorant, but illiterate I see

What do you call it when inflation and unemployment are both rising?
Simple question.

Sure it does. Its a comprehensive part of his central planning. Tariffs are the centerpiece.

You haven't addressed all the problems we have with China other than to ignorantly deny that there is a serious steel issue and to emotionally doomcast that inflation and unemployment are going up while failing to acknowledge that even if it's true, those metrics are based on numerous complex socioeconomic dynamics and can't possibly be solely attributed to tariffs

Worked in the steel industry for 14 years. I know far more than you.

Sure it does. Its a comprehensive part of his central planning. Tariffs are the centerpiece
Levying tariffs to repatriate FOREIGN production and correct FOREIGN trade imbalances has nothing to do with the govt buying stock in a DOMESTIC company. Nothing.

I noticed that you're trying to circumvent issues with China by asking an academic question. Why is that?
quote:No, I don't care about your stupid academic question because it's irrelevant. I'm talking about the real world. The one where there actually IS a steel issue
You know the answer and are too embarrassed to say it

Both have huge support from Bernie Sanders and are leftist policies.
quote:
As someone who strongly opposed disastrous unfettered free trade deals with China, Mexico and other low-wage countries, I understand that we need trade policies that benefit American workers, not just large corporations. Targeted tariffs can be a powerful tool to stop corporations from outsourcing American jobs. They can help level the playing field for American autoworkers or steelworkers to compete fairly against companies who have moved production to countries where they can pay starvation wages.
Bernie Sanders
