Sick of GOPe 'POTUS-inappropriate-to-investigate-opponent' BS narrative talking points

I know this is a friggin recurring theme on this board, but nearly pulled my hair out listening to Ari Fleischer and Jessica Tarlov on Fox.

Jessica goes on and on about need for standards for what is impeachable acts (hint- narrative shift for next week's constitutional "scholar" debate in the Naddler's Clownshow Circus Tent- I thought we've been told for weeks that peach mint was political, no wait, Drumpft committed crimes of extortion, no wait! Drumpft committed bribery! (according to internal polling)).

Fleischer, former press Secretary for W, comes in with this weak sauce rebuttal "well I definitely think it's inappropriate for a President to investigate political opponents..."



Tarlov subsequently, returning to her talk-track about "impeachment standards," muses whether extorting another country is an impeachable offense.

Oh really...



So, it's an impeachable offense for a current President to even THINK ABOUT investigating a politician of former administration who unquestionably extorted a foreign government and, by all reasonable appearances, was directly or indirectly [through his son] was potentially receiving bribes for the influence of his office???

Fleischer did not interject at the absurdity of this statement and instead muttered about muh inappropriateness and not enough to impeach.

In case you forgot, Fleischer served for an administration which not only "extorted" the frick out foreign country for access to inspect for WMDs, that administration bombed the frick out of and killed thousands of people when said country did not comply.

To be clear- I WANT OUR PRESIDENTS TO EXTORT THE frick OUT OF CORRUPT & HOSTILE FOREIGN COUNTRIES IF IT IS IN OUR DEFENSE AND INTERESTS- ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT TAKE MY TAX DOLLARS.

The stupidity of the left has now reached its pinnacle.

And the GOPe goes right along with it.
