Serious Question - If we are all going back to work in a couple of weeks, do we really need to proceed with another corporate bailout? Why dont we just reassess in two weeks?

Going back to work doesn’t mean opening flights to Europe and China and cruise lines running again. Airlines and cruise lines will 100% need bailouts

If you say something vague often enough you’ll be right eventually.
You can’t even admit it is shitty journalism.

quote:I'll acknowledge that the phraseology was perhaps awkward, but I just took it at the time to mean "unnamed sources" - particularly since the same article included a contemporaneous tweet from Trump which confirmed what the "people" said. My only dog in this hunt is wanting the story to be true. I don't care about Bloomberg or any other particular "news" org.

But I have my outrage meter standing by over here - I just need to get final confirmation from you on what setting to put it on and then I think you'll be all good. Please advise.

My only suggestion to you is to keep patting yourself on the back until you pull a muscle.
Remember you called this yesterday.

quote:Just you saying things doesn't make them accurate. The thread was created in hopefulness (and some desperation) that more rational voices would be heard. The only "prediction" I made was that we would have social unrest if this continued too long.

I'm relieved to hear we might be moving this direction, but dreading that we are not.
So, I'm not sure what you think I am claiming I "called". But then you do have a habit of getting into weird loops like this, so I'll let you keep spinning just for amusement I suppose.
(Also, I still need to know proper outrage level for Bloomberg phraseology that we don't like.)

Your lack of self awareness is amazing.
But yes. If you spin fast enough I’ll appear to be spinning too.
You said you called it yesterday in your thread. You forgot that already?
Joe. Is that you?

What does this shite even mean?
Yeah, that is lame AF

A SWAG @ best! A semi wise arse guess. Actually it means we are just throwing some shite out there that might hopefully grab some traction and hurt Trump. And even if it doesn't our loons will grab onto it and love us for cracking on his arse.

Best article yet on the death estimates being too high:
Off by orders of magnitude
Off by orders of magnitude
quote:
If it’s true that the novel coronavirus would kill millions without shelter-in-place orders and quarantines, then the extraordinary measures being carried out in cities and states around the country are surely justified. But there’s little evidence to confirm that premise—and projections of the death toll could plausibly be orders of magnitude too high.
