Not specifically on "Support" v "Defend" but on the wider question of whether the 14th amendment is meant to disqualify someone for the office of President.
Which, I agree with, the 14th amendment can easily be read to exclude executive offices. If that is the case then why bring up the politically damaging defend vs support argument? It's semantics, sure, but it is not great politically.

SIAP Hillary said what difference does it make about dead people she was responsible for protecting.

I'm only on page four and your beat down has been epic. O have to assume you cannot read or understand our constitution nor its application nor any other legal Interpretation required for this OP

I took the capitalism route and made my own money with little push back from the gubment.
Sorry, not sorry, that I "got in" when the trends had the trajectory for the market.
That's what we're all striving for, right?
ETA: Groceries aren't an issue since my employer scales/adjusts for inflation. Imagine that...

You are quite the piece of work. You must be young and very liberal. Spend all your time at sec rant and came over here a few days ago to say you were glad chauvin got attacked in prison and felt emboldened to come over her and spit your anti trump nonsense.
I'm not sure how your explanation of your boss raising your wages because of inflation conflates to not being impacted. Of course, in order to get paid slopping the pigs, your employer has to raise prices on the products that further raises prices. And I doubt you got a 20-25% raise to cover all the extra costs for insurance and of course presents unless you are making minimum wage .
In either event, best you run back home before the others on here co tiniest their beatdown

Did Trump bring it up in a campaign speech, tweet, etc? If so, then I agree with you. It has bad optics.
Nevertheless, I'm only aware of it being in the brief as one small part of the textual analysis as to whether 14A(3) applies to the office of President. IMHO, his attorneys have to bring it up on a brief of the issue. In most cases, the only persons reading those briefs are judges, litigants, and legal scholars. In those contexts, it may not have the same political impact. Of course, when the matter involves a President, people are paying more attention.

At this point in the campaign, they're panicky, throwing stuff against the wall (in the form of accusations) hoping it'll stick.
During President Trump's term in office, we had Peace and Prosperity - now we have two ugly wars and American families struggling to make ends meet. It's a mess out there. We'll be lucky if we escape nuclear war.
Trump 2024 - Biden schemes for war and profit. President Trump schemes for Peace and Prosperity.

I think this is probably your first honest post in this thread. I don’t doubt you at all. I do doubt it has anything to do with Biden’s policies.

Thankfully, my track record in agriculture has been successful. Obama was president when I started the journey. Trump came along and it literally had no impact. Then Biden came along and it literally had no impact.

This type of post bothers me more than anything. Just because someone supports another candidate, typically DeSantis, in the 2024 GOP primary doesn't mean we voted for Biden.
I agree. I don’t think anyone is lumping you in with the OP.

I’ve always thought the oath should be changed to include words that require adherence to the constitution.
The constitution is very well preserved, protected and defended in a vault at the national archives. Problem is, progressives have ignored it for over a century.
