Quick question, what’s this ‘person’s” husband do?

He must be the one responsible for picking up trash in the parks. So the husband would be a trash man while the wife would be a Special Ed teacher.

Not true. Pay period ended 12/22, and federal employees completed that timesheet 12/21 - before the shutdown. That timesheet was automatically processed and paid out 12-28 or 12/31 - depending on the bank for direct deposit. That was 3/5 days ago they got paid.

The next pay period ends this week, and direct deposit is scheduled to be paid out 1/11 or 1/14, depending on the bank.

That would be the first date federal employees would miss a pay check.

I’m probably going to have an EPA project cancelled next week. It will get done when they reopen though.

What propagandist are you? Got a second computer in November?

You are so full of shite. The federal employees have missed a payroll. Trump says he will make it last forever if needed to get everyone to bow to him.

Trump apparently shares your concern for human suffering.

If they're suffering from not getting paid, they can just go get another job somewhere else. It's not that complicated.

Pretty sure the Coast Guard can court martial you for that...

You don’t know what you speak of. Federal employees are paid 26 times a year and essentially shortchanged on their annual salary because of that crap. Twice monthly would be much better and make budgeting easier. There are a number of uniform wearing and equivalent military duty performing federal emoloyees out there. They choose to serve their country and they are rewarded with shutdown crap.

You don’t know if those people have kids in college or private school or any of their other financial challenges.

I hope they shut this down for months.

I don’t want to see it last for months because it will start affecting my bottom line sooner rather than later.

What is his job? If no one is feeling the effects of what it is he actually does, maybe his job could be eliminated?
