That's irrelevant. The action itself is anti-military. It's anti-American.

I can say my protest is about lack of funding to cure childhood cancer. That's a noble pursuit. But, it doesn't change the fact that if/when I burn a flag, I'm committing a disrespectful anti-American act.

Furthermore, these people are doing this for exactly that purpose. They want to be disrespectful. They want the attention. That's the point.
